I’m Jon Dieringer, the founder and editor-in-chief of Screen Slate, winner of the National Society of Film Critics 2022 Film Heritage Award. I work as a consultant on home media and publishing. And I’m also a film programmer, writer, and media artist.
I was previously the Technical Director of pioneering media art nonprofit Electronic Arts Intermix, where I oversaw the preservation of video and film works by artists such as Nam June Paik, Barbara Hammer, Joan Jonas, Vito Acconci, Carolee Schneemann, and Tony Oursler, among many others, and taught a course in media art history in SVA’s MFA Computer Art program.
