I’m Jon Dieringer, the founder and editor-in-chief of Screen Slate, winner of the National Society of Film Critics 2022 Film Heritage Award. I work as a consultant for A24 on home media and publishing. And I’m also a prolific film programmer, writer, and media artist.

I was previously the Technical Director of pioneering media art nonprofit Electronic Arts Intermix, where I oversaw the preservation of video and film works by artists such as Nam June Paik, Barbara Hammer, Joan Jonas, Vito Acconci, and Tony Oursler, among many others, and teach a course in media art history in SVA’s MFA Computer Art program.
